Now this Brooklyn joint is a neighborhood gem.
A big group is a must, because your tummy cannot be big enough to consume all of their delicious and flavourful foods. We were five of us, and could not even make it to the entrees.
Hummus ****
Perfectly tangy!
Labaneh *****
Dense
Baba Ghanoush ****
Creamy enough
Eggplant Napolean *****
Served warm, breaded eggplant served burger style layered with babaganoush
Falafel ****
Classsic!
Mini Pies *
We got the cheese and spinach
Cauliflower Salad ****
Great roasted side served cold with touch of tahini and pomegranate molasses
Brussel Sprouts *****
Superb flavours of sweet & sour – warm would’ve been better.
Knafeh ****
Their signature dessert and a must try. Small is good for 6. It’s bomb solid.
Harissa Bread with Dessert Cheese & Nuts ****
I learnt that bon appetit in Arabic is SAHA which translates to your health.
Saha ala albak! (probably translates to – (may) a thousand healths (be) upon your heart)
An absolute gobble up! *****
