On the Sintra day, this turned out to be an expensive lunch. Not price wise, time wise.
Little did I guess that the other palace that I wanted to go to would be closed by 5. I should’ve looked it up, but the Pena Palace was open till 8, so I thought I would still have enough time for the other palace.
This was a late lunch, around 3:00 PM. I wish I would’ve delayed it more and done the other palace then.
But, no point crying over spilled milk, right? Especially when you eat at a Michelin starred restaurant that you didn’t know of, but found (not accidentally, but looked up for it – the things a foodie will do!) and enjoyed your meal.
We had puff pastry stuffed curried vegetables, that they called samosas. The hubster ordered some fish and I went with this super creamy yet flavorful pasta.
A glass of wine each, and it was a happy lunch. We were full enough to skip desserts again. Seemed to have been the norm on this trip. Very unlike me.
