Silvermine Waterfall
An easy early morning hike, more like a walk, to beat the crowds this summer and get some water time for the child meant we came to Silvermine Waterfall in Mui Wo.
Getting There
We started with an early morning hurry up to the Central ferry pier 6 to catch the ferry, only to realize later that I’d hurried up looking at the weekday schedule, not the weekend one. You can check it here – NWFF.
The ferry ride was 30 minutes long, and the walk to the waterfall is another 30 minutes.
I’ve been following this blog for my recent HK expeditions. Otherwise, you can also pull the directions up on Google Maps.
A few steps further up the waterfall park, and you could check out the Silvermine cave as well. We just went there as a token walk, traced our way back to the Silvermine Beach.
Given the current covid situation, the beach was hardly occupied in the morning – around 10:45. The child had a gala time there.
Lunch Stop
We brunched at STOEP.
Getting Back
Then took the 3M bus which offers a beautiful ride to Tung Chung. From there, we train-ed and bus-sed our way back home. Though, the ferry back would have been the fastest option for us around Central / Mid-Levels.
