I didn’t hear or read or know about this restaurant before I went to Porto. I had only been looking for vegetarian restaurants, and was certainly not looking for Michelin starred restaurants. On our stroll, we chanced upon this and decided to come visit.

No reservations, not a problem on this Monday evening. They were able to accommodate us.

I skipped the appetizer and went with the vegetarian pasta.
The house appetizer was a nice little piece of buttery toast with brie and strawberry jam. Simple and well executed.
The pasta was packed with flavors. The linguine was perfectly cooked, or al dente. I polished it off and didn’t have much room for dessert. We could have, but with baby K being jumpy, it gets difficult. As it is, A and I take turns eating our food as one has to keep an eye on him. Not complaining, just saying – the joys of parenthood 

They got us some dessert bites to pick from.

The water was charged, so was the bread, which I later learnt was quite common – here in Portugal and in Seville, Spain. They don’t ask, they just get it. Not that it was expensive or anything, just that I wasn’t aware.

We’d ordered a white port on the server’s suggestion, followed by a red. They were good. Wines were pretty cheap in Portugal and Seville – the benchmark is New York/US in general on that.

If you happen to be in Porto, and you like pasta, I would suggest trying this place.
