We arrived in Florence, it was a 4ish hour train ride from Salerno. The place where we were staying turned out to be a bit of a disappointment (and a bit farther than I’d pictured) and I wanted to get into a good place to eat a late lunch (read 14:30 by the time we got there after checking in and all) to compensate for that.
This place turned out to be just that. Looked pretty local, and was home style cooking, as I’d read. I was happy with the lunch.
A glass of red, another of white. A classic spaghetti (still al dente for us), another perfectly cooked spinach linguine (read cooked enough for our liking) and some grilled vegetables.
Finished off with a cheesecake – yes, that’s what the husband wanted to eat. It was a happy meal.
They usually say happy wife means happy life. I tell you, in our case, it’s different. Happy husband means happy life. Coz he’s such a Mr. Grumpy. He liked this place and goes, this is the kind of places I want to go to, where I don’t want worry about the child. And I’m like – yeah. One, I have been trying to get into authentic places, but it’s difficult to get reservations. Two, I did all the booking – A to Z from flights to hotels to trains and anything in between. Three, we do need to have the child get used to all kind of places and all.
Even though he was less than two, these kids are smart, aren’t they 🙂
