On Graham Street, in Soho, Falafel TLV is an easy five-minute walk from my place.
I’ve been there a few times, for dining in and take-outs. And the food hasn’t disappointed.
They have a fairly big menu with your usual falafel, hummus and salads. They’ve also got the not as usual borekas and jachnuns. The jachnun wasn’t as great when we tried. It was a bit doughy and didn’t taste as great as it did back when I first had it in NYC.
Everything else has been good. I especially love their spicy sauce. So far, I’ve tried their eggplant sandwich, falafel sandwich, falafel burger, hummus, baba ganoush. And it’s been good. Their pita breads are made in-house and have always been served warm.
It’s not Mamouns or Taim, but I’ve made peace with the fact that this is not New York either. It’s my go-to place for falafels here in the Kong.
