This idea was sitting in my head for a looooooong time.
I was so glad that it paid off so well – the balloon cake that I made actually burst, instead of deflating. I think it was a hit =)
Here are some photos of the balloon cake and the real one.
The real one was two plain vanilla cake layers, chocolate buttercream in between, frosted with vanilla buttercream again and drizzled with some thick chocolate sauce. Not the neatest. Still learning.
